Last night I had the good fortune of attending the Opening Gala of the Artist Project’s Contemporary Art Fair in Toronto.
Located at The Better Living Centre on Toronto’s Exhibition Grounds, this stellar event is an opportunity to discover the talents of contemporary artists from across Canada and beyond (this year’s youngest artist is only 12 years old!)

Now in its 9th year, the range of talent – comprising hundreds of artist – is exceptional. With a range of artistic style, mediums, and prices, there’s something to appeal to everyone. It was great to see some of the artists whom I already have in my own personal collection, like Dan Nuttall (Booth 105) and Patrick Lajoie (Booth 100), and there were several whom captured my delight. I especially adore the whimsy of artist Antonio Caballero (Booth 400) who had some colourful pieces which made me smile.
Here’s a snap of Dan’s booth, including his piece, entitled, Shore Lines:

Here’s one of Antonio’s mixed media pieces, entitled, Keep the Tracks Clean:

And here’s one of Patrick’s brilliant photos, transferred to a birch plank, entitled, Sightline:

Check out this flavour video from the Opening Gala last night, to get a taste for the energy and excitement of the evening:
The Art Fair runs until Sunday, February 21, 2016. Tickets for children and seniors are $10, and adults are $14. It’s great value to expose yourself to an enormous representation of Canadian Art!
